Our Dublin photography workshop takes place around the coastline of the city. Our focus on this workshop will be on the natural beauty of Dublin. Owen has made many trips in the city so learning new skills will be combined with photographing hand picked beautiful locations. If you want to photograph seascapes then this is the workshop for you. It’s a masterclass so a basic level of technical competence is assumed and our focus will be on light and composition.
We will be located in a bed and breakfast in Dublin. Our proximity to our shoots will allow us to become immersed in nature and the group dynamic. The main photographic focus will be on landscape photography and abstract depictions of the natural environment. A fully manual camera (digital SLR) and tripod are essential. We want to teach you how to make art not take snaps.
We do not set out a specific location itinerary, as Owen will bring you to the best locations under prevailing light conditions. As a general guide however, we will be visiting the beaches, parks and streets within Dublin.
Our days will entail sunrise and sunset shoots. We will be having a break for a few hours after breakfast if you need a snooze. The day will then be divided between shooting, critiquing and post processing in Photoshop and Lightroom. We will begin with a sunset shoot Tuesday and finish up on Thursday after our post production class.
The cost of the workshop is €950 for singe occupancy. For this fee you will receive all tuition as described above. Accommodation in a Hotel (bed and breakfast), transportation costs (from accommodation to shoot locations) and 2 meals per day. Alcohol and snacks are not included.
It’s an all-inclusive 3 day workshop so all you have to do is worry about making beautiful images and learning great new skills.
